After a successful social event last quarter, we're going to continue growing the tradition of relaxing with the Drop.
Its not your regular Drupal meetup! its a party, a break, a different schedule, a time to just relax.
To hopefully cater to people who can't make our regularly scheduled meetups on the 3rd thursday of each month (and to those who just can't get enough Drupal or beer) we will be having a social meetup on Monday, June 7th.
This month we'll be at the Royal Exhibition Hotel again. Look for laptops, drupal schwag, lots of talking and Geoff (the tallest guy in the room)!

Tonight's Sydney social meet-up & the July weekend event in Sydn
G'day from Brisbane. Whereas I realise tonight's meet-up is social I wonder if those present could compare notes and post an update somewhere on GDO re planning for the Drupal weekend gathering scheduled for 17 & 18 July 2010. I'm trying to organise work commitments in Sydney so that they will coincide with this event and will need to organise flight soon too.
With over 40 sign-ups at 6 weeks out it has already achieved sufficient momentum to be a decent gathering. As a Drupal newbie I really appreciated the work that Ryan et al put into the one-day event at UniSyd last Oct (Nov??) and am looking forward to this one too. BTW - same venue??
Brisbane event this past weekend went really well too. (Heaps of thanks to Jeff, Sheree, Josh, Kat, Tony, Chris, Sean, John, UQ's CEIT and all presenters & sponsors.)
