Skill sets required include graphic design, stylesheet proficiency, ability to work under tight deadlines with little direction, self motivated, creative, easy to work with, strong language and grammar skills. Over at AdaptiveThemes we've been hammering out how to give our designers better tools for designing for Drupal. At first we thought about a set of briefs, then that grew into packages (brief + stock images, logo etc) and then I struck on the idea of Design Profiles.

A Design Profile is a package including a sample site (say a blog, business site, Ubercart site etc), PSD templates, a detailed brief and stock images (sample logo, photos etc).

Our social networking start-up needs a visual designer (preferably in the San Francisco Bay Area) on a part-time consulting basis to design the visual elements of our site (both the frontpage and secondary pages) before it is launched. We are also looking for this designer to design the logo and some other elements.

We have an excellent front-end developer already involved, so our biggest need at this time is purely visual design (although some front-end development skills could be useful). We are looking for a talented designer with the following skillset:

To make modifications to existing password protected Extranet site that serves as a job Web site for youth trained to work in after-school programs across New York City. Sample descriptions of changes to existing Drupal-based site are below:

FOR STUDENT USERS

• Add optional sign up for automatic e-mail when new jobs are posted; Send auto emails to users whenever a new job is posted to the Bank
• Create a clickable field/filter so users can sort jobs by date posted, borough/location, and organization name

Insightshare - a participatory video organisation.
We are creating a global portal to bring together people using participatory video. This mans community, collaborative video, concerned with the process as well as the product at the end.

We are linked to filmforge, transmission and have large partners such as the Global Diversity Foundation and sections of the UN, as well as many small communities and organisations

The main focus of the portal will be the videos and the creators and owners of the videos - the communities.

Wir sind ein junges Familienportal (www.quax.at) und suchen für unseren Relaunch ab spätestens Anfang August eine/n Webentwickler/in. Vorerst gilt es den Relaunch als Projekt abzuwickeln - nachdem wir in einer starken Wachstumsphase sind, ist ein weiterer Einsatz sehr Wahrscheinlich.

Technische Anforderungen: Erfahrung mit PHP/ Drupal Themes/ Drupal CCK und Views. JavaScript und AJAX Erfahrungen wünschenswert.

Hello A2Drupal!
I currently help the UM student chapter of Habitat for Humanity by providing support for their website (http://umhabitat.org). I set up a drupal cms for the group, and the site functions well for their purposes. Unfortunately, I have very little artistic ability, and even less graphic design sense. Therefore, the site uses the standard Drupal theme. Would anyone in this group know a design firm (or individual) who may be willing to donate their time to develop a theme for the site?
