Visual Branding of Drupal

This group is intended to be a resource for people interested in helping improve the visual branding of the Drupal project and community.

Our goals are to:

  • Serve as a central repository and resource for Drupal branding work that's already been done
  • Gather together exemplary work branding work done by other projects for inspiration.
  • Work to create a consistent set of brand standards and guidelines for the Drupal project
  • Help create resources for Drupal events and outreach efforts, as well as other initiatives

Flyer and booth wall layout files available

To start somewhere, the German association (Drupal-Initiative) has given the existing layouts a makeover (font) and published the files under CC:

Of course, the site's not yet practising what we preach (branding-wise). Any comments on wording and/or layout files are very welcome!

Merge into the Marketing Drupal Group

The Marketing Drupal group was created so we can begin to open source Drupal's marketing process and build a framework for freedom to happen as has been done for the code itself.

At the moment many who have expertise in this area simply have no say in the process and thus we do not currently benefit from their many cumulative years of experience.

Brand Strategy Purpose & Workflow

I would like to propose a workflow for the brand strategy. While I don't want to get bogged down in "talk talk talk" and never do, it's helpful to have a process and a framework of what needs to be done so that it is useful and long-lived. Let's spend a few hours figuring out the direction Drupal should be moving first, then put the pedal down.
