Knoxville Area Get Together - September!
The Knoxville Drupal Group will meet Thursday, September 9. 2010, from 7:00 pm - 9 pm in the Scripps Convergence Lab, 4th Floor of Communication Bldg, UT Campus. Drupal camps abound in the South this fall, so we will talk about the recent camp in Boone, NC, and the upcoming camps in Ashville, NC and Atlanta, GA.

We had a great meeting last night with lots of discussion about data import into Drupal, as well as lots of other Drupally good topics. We have tentatively set our next meeting for Thursday, July 22. We can have it in the Scripps Lab again or move to another venue for variety (and perhaps a refreshing beverage or two?). Suggestions, anyone? John suggested that for the next meeting, we focus on Mobile Drupal - access issues for Smart Phones, iPads, etc. And if anyone is interested in presenting on a Drupal topic - beginner to advanced - that would be great!

We're having our 3rd Knoxville Drupal Group Meetup this Thursday, April 29, 2010, from 6:30 pm - 9 pm in the Scripps Convergence Lab, 4th Floor of Communication Bldg, UT Campus.

We will plan to gather from 6:30 - 7 pm. Pizza will be delivered by 7 pm. Bring other refreshments if you can - soft drinks, snacks, chips, etc. So far the topics to be discussed are: Intro to CCK & Views, and How to Drush.
Hope to see you there! Signups (RSVPs) would be helpful but not necessary.
Group notifications feed FAIL
I've tried to use the "My unread" and "My group" feed links under Group notifications in the right-hand column of groups.drupal.org so that I can catch up on my drupal groups in Google Reader. I'm logged in to groups and gReader.
The feed I get when I click on "My group" is http://groups.drupal.org/group/mytracker/feed and it's not at all particular to the groups I've joined. I get subscribed to recent posts across whole site.
I can't get Google Reader to subscribe to "My unread" at all.
I get a permission denial when I click on the notifications link.

We had a great meeting on March 30, with 20+ in attendance. We scheduled the next meetup for the evening of Thursday, April 29 in the Scripps Convergence Lab, so mark your calendars. We will plan on doing some presentations this time - Intro to CCK & Views, Data Migration into Drupal, and maybe Features (Devon?). Let me know if there are other topics of interest.
I'll send out more info closer to the meeting in April.

Hi all!
Let's get another meet-up scheduled! John McNair and I would like to host the next one in Scripps Convergence Lab in the Communications Bldg on the UTK campus. We can start gathering at 6 pm for chatting and refreshments (maybe have a pizza or two delivered?) and plan to have a Drupal presentation(s) starting at 7 pm. Here are the dates we are considering:

My wife and I had a blast in Nashville this past Saturday. The sessions and people were great. I also heard that they are looking at having one here in Knoxville sometime this year. Cant wait.

Hey Everyone,
I wanted to say thanks for an amazing time last night, it was amazing to be able to talk with some fellow "Drupalers" face to face. I think the idea that we could perhaps do some classes on various topics, perhaps a basic set for a the new users, as well as perhaps sitting down and creating our very own theme as a group.
Great Meetup! Let's do it again!
We had 11 Drupalers show up at the Mellow Mushroom last night. It was great to talk with other people about Drupal - and be completely understood. The suggestion was made that we meet again in March at the Scripps Convergence Lab in the Communications Building at UTK (http://www.cci.utk.edu/SCL), so that we could do some presentations/talks/demos of interesting Drupal how-tos.

Knoxville Drupal Meetup
Hey All,
I was wondering if there was still any interest in a Drupal Meetup in Knoxville? I live in Lenior City, and would highly enjoy meeting with other local Drupal enthusiasts.
If we could get around 5-10 people together we could have a really good base for a meet-up I believe (I would even enjoy a small group, just having someone locally would be quite nice). It would be a neat project to perhaps build a website for the Group as a group, and perhaps do some rotating lesson plans (Someone different provides a "lesson" at each meetup).
