7:00pm - 9:00pm

Looking forward to it as always... I can give a quick overview on Install Profiles if we need some lightning talks.

Presentations/Demos

iribarne's picture

This looks like it is going to be a meetup not to miss. We can do the presentations/demos in the order they were posted in the comments:

Then we can have a question/answer session in the end, starting with Jason's questions on Drush.

I hope we can fit all this into two hours. I will do my best to keep things moving. If you are participating remotely, please send me a skype message by 7pm at the latest so we can add you to the Skype conference call (no calls please), and have team viewer installed if you want to see the shared desktop.

I'm there as always :)

I'll be there.. wouldn't miss it.
I'd like to to present colleenlloy.com, my second drupal site under my belt. This one is a zen sub theme I did.

Maybe show it as what can be done on the newbie level. This one actually formats OK on a Mac and PC's. hehehehehehe

I'm looking forward to the

I'm looking forward to the meeting!

I personally would love some support on drush, specifically with regard to correct site context & path arguments. i.e. on my Aegir platform I can use "drush dl" in certain folders and not others. Omega8.cc said it's because I need to set context and path arguments but I'm not sure I know what they're talking about.

Also, "workflow" seems to be a hot topic in the community and I am constantly trying to improve my efficiency - I'd love a discussion on the make-files, and all the good stuff discussed in the following: http://www.migueljacq.com/content/drupal-deployments-workflows-version-c...

Check out a small site we did for a non-profit - it uses gmap location, gmap, and location modules - http://www.sharethestokefoundation.com - I LOVE how drupal.org is using location to visualize content.

A quick tip: use excellent Drush documentation: http://drush.ws/help/3#pm-download

If you are outside of any Drupal site/platform directory, drush dl module will just download to your current directory, but when you are anywhere in the Drupal site root/multisite, Drush will look for drushrc.php file to get the idea where it should put downloaded stuff, so you need to cd /path/to/platform/sites/domain (not to the modules directory!) or just specify target directory with: drush dl module --destination=/path/to/platform/sites/domain/modules or drush dl module --destination=/path/to/platform/sites/all/modules.

Hope that helps.
