Hi all. See the full version (click on "Read more") of this discussion for the planned program for our upcoming DrupalCampPDX. Comments and suggestions welcome. Those of you who volunteered for program please let us know ASAP if there are any issues with time slots. We tried to keep everyone who volunteered involved (please let me know if we missed you) and we tried to ensure that programming items on at the same time would overlap in interest as little as possible. However, we had 22 programming items for 10 slots and had to merge several items. Again, please let us know if our decisions trouble you. Also reply here if you want to change the wording for your panel or such.

Note that we are keeping most of the evening and one room open all day for traditional Camp-style programming and socializing. There are also a couple of other places where socializing can occur, most notably some picnic-stle tables just outside the conference center. With plenty to eat and drink we hope that this event will be useful in every way possible. Click on "Read more" to see Program.

One suggestion...

Since the one on campaigns was dropped off, could we add political campaigns or something like that to "Drupal for nonprofits, grassroots activism and community groups (resources & special needs)."

Political campaigns and political groups is where we've seen a huge increase in Drupal use. However, some aren't so sure of its abilities and are starting to get poached by Wordpress folks. I don't think they fully understand that Drupal is more than just a blog.

Not a problem

You'd said you had to combine similar items, and it seemed like a natural fit.

When is the next meeting to discuss the event? I can never make the regular Portland Drupal meetings because I'm a Neighborhood Assoc. president in Gresham and my attendance is required at our Neighborhood Coalition meeting. It's scheduled for the same time as the Drupal meeting every month. But I would like to be able to come to one of these planning meetings.

I meant to reply sooner.

I meant to reply sooner. Seems we've already had most of the main group meetings. We've had half of one since (only 4 of us), but it was very specific to discussing outstanding tasks. I doubt we'll all meet again, but you could always ping David and see what tasks could still use a volunteer.

This may be answered elsewhere, but in case not, I was just curious if there were plans to video record certain sessions on this schedule, for eventual posting somewhere like blip.tv. Thoughts?

Has the location been nailed down? If it is, could it be added to the details in the ical feed? Or have I just missed it completely.
