Hi,
I've been wanting to try to make it to a meet up for a few months now ( being new to drupal but working with it on a daily basis at work for the last few months). However its particularly difficult for me to try and make a meetup in Edinburgh despite only being in glasgow ( work, kids, yadda ).
Would there be interest in a meet in glasgow in mid December?
Currently I'm thinking Thursday 16th december 7pm-9pm +, While I don't have a specific location, I'm thinking generally in the city centre for easy travel, and that there are several pubs and cafe's that have wifi that are central for travel links.

Would the day before be possible? The Thursday? Some of us from work could come (hopefully 3 of us), but the Friday is our office Christmas party.

I think the best choice of venue would be somewhere in the city centre, easy travel for anybody who wants to come, and lots of options of locale. I've got a couple of thoughts, but I'll take a wonder round after work and try and make a concise list.

sorry you posted while I was writing this, I don't see a problem with making it the 16th.
My current thinking is a start of around 6pm-7pm, finishing at 9-10pm ( allowing for additional drinks if needed, )

I have only attended one previous meeting, in Edinburgh. It was impossible to hear anyone making the effort and cost of attending a waste therefore I have never went to anymore.

Yay! I hope to make it up from sunny Galloway. A 7pm start would make the journey more worthwhile for anybody coming in from the wilds, like myself. Also, somewhere with food available would be good.

I've also done a little work on an agenda ( it wont be rigid, but based on the sample agenda mentioned here ->http://drupal.org/node/247952 )
I'll probably do a small presentation myself showcasing a little of the work I've done and modules in development. If anyone else wants to do something similar please let me know ( or just mention it on the day I suppose ).
It'd be really useful to try and get an idea of the numbers, and to spread the word a little ( AKA if you know anyone who does Drupal let them know / badger them relentlessly ).

Hi All,
I am new to Drupal and have no previous experience in cms. I am working my way through the Lynda.com Drupal 6 Essential Training and the Drupal 6 Online Presentation of Data.
Is this meetup only for experienced users or can anyone pop along?

Glasgow sounds good to me, I Live in Ayrshire but work in Glasgow.
@oscarpolly every one is welcome no matter how in depth your knowledge, the whole point is to meet others to find out the benifits of using Drupal.
@ verbosity can you keep us updated with location and agreed date.

Not too far from me and might make an appearance. I would advise people to eat before you come though, as my experience of the food in mono isn't the best.
