There is something very
There is something very strange going on with your site.
Enter web in the search box in the header. You get a page of results. Now add the word development to the search box in the results area and click Search.
You get an access denied but if you scroll down there is another content area with results. If you click next then you get the content area repeated multiple times.
I believe that the "Access denied" refers to documents that the user doesn't have access to It looks like it is generating a content area for each doc you don;t have access and then shows you the results. I 'd look into the theming.

Go to post settings from admin > content and rebuild the permissions. Also, check the status report before and after rebuilding the permissions.
Thanks.

I think you have used the
I think you have used the drupal quiz module. The search result may contains any of the quiz node content. It could be a reason for your problem
Install module Search
Install module Search Restrict - after that you can set by content type which role can search for current content type
module: http://drupal.org/project/search_restrict
USAGE:
On the configuration form of each content type set the role(s)
that can search for nodes of that content type.
change the search settings
you have to change the search setting. only select node search in the option "active search module" .
How I resolved this
I modified the configuration settings on the Search module to only select "Node" instead of both "Node" and "Users".
After this was updated, everything worked as expected.
I tried all the above and it still wouldn't save until
Instead of going to module, which seem to redirect me to people but not save when I gave permissions to search, I went to People > Permissions > Roles > "choose the role (anonymous user...) > edit permission. It saved this way. So I am not sure if the changes above just took a while to apply after saving or my changing permissions in the people setting space is what did the trick! But now it SAVED!
