Drupal Camp - Feb 2011

Registration is now open for the February 5, 2011 Drupal Camp. The earlier you register, the more benefits you'll get.

• early birds can avail as much as 50% off (yes, we want you to register ASAP)
• include your right tshirt size
• limited seats. first come, first serve
• help us serve you better

The organizers will be really busy at the last week of January. You can help us if you register sooner so we don't get overload with work. We will only accept a maximum of 150 participants for this event.

== Payment ==
We decided to charge a small fee to free us from looking for so many sponsors. We already have some sponsors but those are not enough to cover all the costs for the food, tshirt and freebies.

== Speakers ==
Session proposal is also open. Please submit any topic you are interested to share.

There will be two tracks available in the Drupalcamp. Those are:
* business track
* developer track

Business track will be designed for business people who wants to start using Drupal. Expect beginner lessons here.
Developer track is all out for Drupal developers.

We are looking for 4 topics for each track.

For interested people that want to speak but are still afraid to come in front, we can arrange a small workshop for you. We encourage anyone who would like to share any topic so please submit your proposal as soon as possible. Email rachel @ petixe.com if you want the workshop.

We are still working on providing a Beginners Training on February 4. We will work hard to make this happen.

Just a reminder for everyone that this saturday is the last day for the 50% treat for the Drupal Camp registration. Pay before 11:59pm on Jan. 15!

I thought there were going to be two tracks at the event. The schedule that's posted looks like it's only a single track. Are there still plans to have a separate track for the advanced sessions? Thanks

Hi folks,

I'm a New Yorker in Manila this week and interested in meeting up with Drupalistas here both for fun and to discuss possible collaboration on upcoming projects in New York. Unfortunately, I'm leaving the night before Drupalcamp starts here, BUT would anyone be up for meeting up in Makati Tuesday or Wednesday night for some informal drinks (Glorietta somewhere?)... If so, first couple rounds are on me! :)

By way of background, I've been part of the Drupal community since I was bizdev director for CivicSpace in 2005/2006, and I just "retired" as CIO of the New York State Senate (http://nysenate.gov), a well-known government Drupal site in the US (see Drupalcon San Francsisco keynote: http://globehoppin.com/2010/04/27/215/).

Would love to meet you and so sorry to miss the Drupalcamp-- I'll be back for the next one I hope!

Based on wikimapia.org it is near Shangri-La Hotel Manila.
I will be coming from Bambang Sta. Crus or (Recto, Monumento).
pwede akong sumakay ng LRT then baba ng Gil Puyat(Buendia).
sakay ng Bus(Ayala) then baba sa Microsoft Philippines or to the nearest bus stop.

If you are from Pasig, Mandaluyong, Quezon, etc. ride a Bus(Ayala) from EDSA then baba sa Microsoft Philippines or to the nearest bus stop.
