Reminder: May Drupal Meetup Tonight!

Just a quick reminder that there will be a Drupal Meetup tonight starting at 7:00 pm. We'll meet upstairs at Stetson's Bar and Restaurant at 1610 U Street (four blocks from U street metro stop on the green line).

We have a few interesting lightening talks lined up to start the meetup, which will be followed with lots of time to talk to other Drupal developers and users.

Showcase of Green Media Toolshed: A community-powered set of tools for communications experts that allows them to create and customize group workspaces - and control the branding and urls. This is done with new advances made the to context module.
Announcement of ChinaOSL, a two month long code camp happening this summer in Bejing

I was hoping to come tonight as I m in town visiting family. However, my mom passed away right before I arrived and won't be able to make it tonight. Hopefully, I can coordinate one of my other trips back to DC with a future Drupal Meetup.

Sorry I couldn't show it well last night, but the spirit/goal of ChinaOpen is best captured, by the words in the openning/flash-video part of the site: http://www.china-osl.com

This site is obviously NOT finished -- much of the function don't work yet, and logistics will have to be finalized (which is why I am leaving for Beijing Thursday).

But as I said at the happy-hour, I wanted to get the words out there. And thanks for Alex's kind Flickr note, this is in reference to a previous note http://groups.drupal.org/node/10770.
