This was suggested in a comment to an earlier post, and it seems like a good excuse for a Drupal get-together in the New Year :)
The date for these parties worldwide is Friday 7 January.
Any venue suggestions? January is always a quiet time for bars and restaurants so we shouldn't have any problem booking wherever we want. I'm happy with Holyrood 9A as that was pretty good last time.

Other than a few 'quiet' beers, is there any set agenda? We could always phone in to Belgium (or is Dries in Boston MA now) Eurovision-style: 'Royaume-Uni Nil Points' etc.
I'll be there, probably after 7... unless we get dumped on with more snow and marooned in Perth (again).

I don't what's planned for the launch party, whether it's something big and public, but Telford College would be willing to host.
Is there a plan for it or a date ?

Since there wasn't much interest -- only one definite by the start of the week -- I've not organized anything. I've got something else planned for tonight now, but if other people want to spontaneously get together, have fun! :D
