Yes, as we've all undoubtedly heard by now, Drupal 7 now has an official release date: January 5th, 2011. Simultaneous Drupal 7 launch parties are scheduled across the globe for Friday, January 7th, 2011. (From my understanding, the improvements to D7 are such that this will give us all plenty of time to get our first D7 sites polished and released.)
But! There's no officially scheduled party for Vancouver yet! I KNOW, right?
So we should have some kind of get-together. Drinks perhaps. Maybe there will be a giant inflatable Drupalicon over Granville Street. It's up to you, people. Who's interested?

There are some folks who are planning something. I don't know enough to make any kind of even informal announcement, but just hang in there, it's in the works!
