Di ko lang alam. Mas gusto dito natin lahat ilagay ang mga announcements etc. Tapos sa personal pages na lang mag-repost.

i figured n ung problem ng drupal.ph. so this is the question,

is it wiser to use drupal.ph (a drupal install) to put all our pictures or just use 3rd party apps? (less maintenance? :D)

@danreb Looks like the page is still active http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/group.php?gid=15171065570, maybe we just need to continue using this page.

@primerg I suggest ilagay dn sa drupal.ph as compilation and para dn isang location lang, I think use 3rd party like flickr and embed.

More exposure means more propagation

I agree with primerg's idea on putting up a Facebook group for Drupal users. More exposure to different areas in the "intarweb" means we could propagate faster and easier while always remembering to point to here in http://groups.drupal.org/philippines as the central venue. This has also been the strategy of many "networked" clubs - may website na sila, may Facebook presence pa, thus making more people, who were previously unaware sa kanilang official website, realize na meron na pala silang official website. The discussions become richer and the content becomes widespread. However, I would like to emphasize na sana dito pa rin sa g.d.o/ph yung focal or core venue when it comes to starting or opening up Drupal Philippines-related events and activities.

I'm not saying Facebook is a good venue for organizing events but it is useful, convenient and practical for membership propagation. Maybe through there, we can find the next Jhef, or the next Marc, or the next Rachel. Ultimately, it becomes another application of the concept "the more, the merrier".

The old group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=15171065570 appears to be based on the old Facebook Groups functionality. The new Facebook Groups features more functionality for interactivity, like live feeds and "versioned" wiki-docs. We may need to establish a new Facebook group for Drupal Philippines that takes advantage of this better functionality. I do not intend to undermine the old one, I was just hoping to take advantage of the new Facebook group features. You may want to take a look at this one, which I recently started http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=194099357273550 - hindi kailangang eto yung gawing officially new Facebook group for Drupal Philippines - but I am just offering this for a quick look and comparison between the old FB group and the new FB group. Once na sumali kayo, gawin ko kayo agad admin para makita niyo yung difference.

By the way, last year I lost my Loloy Daemonic account in Facebook as they disabled it. I lost my FB contacts with Marc, BenC, Jhef, NoelC/DL and others. Now, I am using an account with my real name on it. Please feel free to add me. http://www.facebook.com/jeffrey.ocaya
