Any Experience in Allowing Duplicate Email DR5?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Does anyone have any experience in modifying Drupal 5 to allow multiple users to have the same email address? I figure I can't be the first guy that has this need. Any advice would be appreciated.

I actually ran into this problem today and just used another email address for the time being since I will be deleting (myself) as the multiple users for testing. But anywho...here is what I found. I probably won't be using it. I have far too many email addresses for it to be that big of an issue but do note the issues raised when using one address for multiple users.
