Thoughts on having a meetup at Mayorga in Silver Spring? I've been meaning to make it downtown for the last three meetings but every time work interferes so it's either quit work or try to do something closer to home.
Items I'd like to discuss:
- securing Drupal
- managing multiple Drupal sites in an SSL environment
- making Drupal easier for new users to figure out and use
- modules or configurations to support sports league stuff (game schedules, results, rosters, drafts, etc.)
Potential dates:
Aug 20 (Wed)
Aug 21 (Thur)
Aug 26 (Tue)
Aug 27 (Wed)
And I figure a 7:30pm start time makes sense.

some notes on the idea
I'm out of town from August 23rd to the end of the month.
There was some tentative talk about having something at the Affinity Lab. The Affinity lab is frankly a terrific venue (although I'd sadly miss the meetup, if it were the last week in August.)
Karen S did a terrific presentation at DrupalCon on Views and CCK that is relevant to your sports league topic. You can find it on archive.org. Her views exports from the presentation are also on the drupalcon Boston site.
In essence, I'm open to Silver Spring. I can come to either location (Silver Spring, or Affinity Lab) if it's NOT the last week in August... Maybe check with Mike, who tentatively planned the Affinity Lab one. (It did sound tentative... )
Heck, I'd like to know anything about SSL, even for a single site... so hoping I can attend this! August 21 probably best date for me, or 20th... or sometime in September.
(7 or 7:30 works. I live in Baltimore, so probably prefer the earlier time.)

I'd love it. Generally I can't do Mondays or Tuesdays, so I'm glad to hear that you're considering a Wednesday or Thursday too. Don't plan around me, though; I will just try to make it at whatever time/date you pick, and I'm definitely in support of Mayorga as the venue. Of the things you mentioned, Micah, I'm most interested in the 3rd one (making Drupal easier for new users to use - 'new users' meaning our clients/the end user).
