Visit http://drupalindy.com/ and sign up. When you do, be sure to apply for ADMIN role. When I check the queue and see your name as needing approved I will approve it.
I will also be handing out FTP access so that we can all throw some files in the sites/all/modules and sites/all/themes dir.
So surf on over and register with your groups.drupal.org user name. That way I know who you are. Then I can give you admin access.
This is a GREAT way to learn some cool stuff.
As I go along I will be blogging [on http://drupalindy.com/ ] about the steps I am taking in building various aspects of the site.
If you build the event listings, or Gallery, or theme the site, then I encourage you to blog the steps you took so that we can all benefit from it.
Thanks Gang. I hope to see many of our out-of-towners jump in on this one. Now when we finally get around to having a conference call, we can all log into drupalindy.com and be working on the same site.

Admin fun
Tip: CDMUG.org gives Admin to our members only after they attend a user group event. An idea to think about...
I like that idea! Tony

Yah, But...
That's a good idea, but most of our 38 members have never been to a meeting because many live quite far from Indianapolis. I have had IRC conversations, or Email exchanges with many of them.
Maybe some day we'll be closer to the size of the Chicago group [that's where TourGuide@drupal.org is] bur for now we can be more flexible.

p.s. if the interest is there, we can go over the new site at the meeting. It is quite possible that we can use this site each meeting as a demonstration for Drupal functionality and development.
I will research ways to get audio broadcast OR record it. [any one want to help with that? :-) ]
