Although contemporary American society has seen changes in attitudes and beliefs regarding gay male, lesbian and transgender individuals, definitions of what it means to be gay/queer are still predominately and unconsciously negative based – defined by what we are not. This workshop will explore what we are through an examination of a variety of roles gay people have served throughout history and within many cultures, challenging unconscious biases with knowledge, with a view toward the conscious reclaiming of the important, positive and essential contributions gay people have made and continue to make to the world family.
This workshop is open to anyone engaged in conscious and healthy self-definition regardless of sexual orientation. Please join us!

This sounds so interesting! Thanks for posting it!
Wish I was in California in May...Alas, I am stuck in NYC.
If you end up writing about your experiences at this workshop, let me know.
My pleasure
I hope I can attend. A friend tagged me in a note that listed it on Facebook and seemed apropos given the discussion we were having on the Group Name. If I go and learn anything worthy of sharing I will certainly post that here :-)
