Working on a new Drupalcon in Barcelona 2007

I'm working on having this new DrupalCon in Barcelona, next September 2007. So here it is this new group which I hope it will help me out.

The dates I'm working on are the 20th, 21st and 22nd of September 2007 which will give us some time to look around, go to the beach.... Any firsts thoughts on this?

As someone who used to live in Barcelona, I can't wait for this conference. I'd be happy to get involved closer to the time in the organization (I have a lot of experience with event/conference organization).

We talked about it in Brussels. Sept. is roughly the timeframe for another European event, and Robert said he wanted to step and explore having it in Barcelona. So, there is lots of time to work on dates and venues at this point.

rosh hashanah, the jewish new year, is Sept. 12 in 2007. lets try to avoid that day. we managed to screw this up this year.

If it's going to be mid-week...

So, if it's going to cover two days during the week, it may as well all be during the middle of the week.

This will give folks some time at the end and at the beginning for travel. So, I would say 18, 19, 20, or 19, 20, 21.

But, I would go ahead and start looking for venues. A rough time like this will give us some options and flexibility.

Either earlier or later for me. I know you can't set the dates based on a couple people, but if you have other reason to move it any earlier or several days later, I'd be very happy.

I'm so glad to hear there is being planned a DrupalCon in Barcelona. I've just started developing with Drupal, and I want to learn as much as I can and meet other developers. I also speak "ok" spanish, and have never been to Barcelona, so this is something I'm looking forward to.

Please keep us posted, and if I can help with anything let me know.
