I have created several church sites using Drupal and am offering my customized Drupal bundle for others to purchase.
The bundle can be seen at www.churchplantingjourney.com. The bundle includes all of these features and can save you hours on configuring your site.
* Prebuilt Pages (About Us, Contact Us, Ministries) plus unlimited potential
* WYSIWYG Editor - Easy editor like using MS Word!
* Calendar with repeating events
* Allow sign-ups for events
* Audio files: post sermons and songs online
* Group pages - allow Sunday school classes, community organizations and other groups to have their own place on your site.
* Forums - allow people to discuss issues and ask questions
* Photo & Video Gallery
If you would like to see all that Drupal can do, also visit www.saturatecolorado.com.
Drupal rocks for church websites - now we just need some more Drupal Church Themes. Anyone wishing to distribute your theme in my bundle, please let me know.
Blessings,

Enjoyed your sites
Bobby... Thanks for posting here in Drupal's Church group. I not only enjoyed seeing your Drupal-based site(s), but also the SaturateColorado initiative.
[Visit ColoradoChristians.Net, where we've added your link. We operate the 50-state Blews.Network... connecting-sites to accelerate the Great Commission -- so we love finding other connecting sites such as the Saturate Colorado site.]
Selling Drupal?
Are people purchasing the software or the services?
be careful
I can imagine something like this selling. But, be careful how you do it. Take a look at the GPL license and you will see that you can't legally sell the software.
But, you have sell your services to set this up or sell it as a service.
Dries (the head of drupal for anyone who doesn't know) recently commented on this and the 'loop hole' over at his blog. http://buytaert.net/long-live-the-web-services-loophole
Actually you can legally sell the software.
This is one of the many myths surrounding the GPL. You can charge money for your code. The GPL allows this. But it insists that the source be distributed with it. Here is the FAQ entry from gnu.org.
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#DoesTheGPLAllowMoney
It doesn't make much sense to sell the code since anyone can redistribute it for free, but the GPL does not prohibit this. I know that Dries says that you can't sell the code and he is right from the perspective that you can't sell the exclusive rights to the code. Hope this helps.
By the way, I love your podcast Matt. Just discovered it today and I'm going through the Drupal series. I wish I had discovered this before building Westwood Community Church. I'm looking forward to some insights there.
Agreed
Yes. To take a quote from GIMP's Policy on Selling: The GIMP uses the GPL licence, just like Drupal
Has anyone used this distro? How can I get a copy?
Hi,
I'm just beginning to burn my fingers with drupal. Just wanted to know if anyone is currently using the sold bundle and how its performing? Also, how can I get a copy of this distro?
Cheers!

Freely share
Why not freely share your distribution much like the guys at http://webempoweredchurch.com/ because frankly I am steering toward their distribution even though it is not Drupal simply because it is free and they seem to be doing it this way because of a call God has put on their hearts.
