Anyone doing anything new with their websites and drupal?
I know there are a lot of folks that do church websites, and I'd love to find out what we are all doing.

I just wrapped up the development of Bethel Redding's new Drupal 7 site using the Panopoly distribution. Very responsive (based on Zen). I developed a custom solution for calendars that is significantly cleaner and easier to read than the standard views calendar module. Check it out: http://www.bethelredding.com

Hi, anybody familiar with Commerce coupon fixed amount rule? I need to apply this rule only to certain products. I've posted something here: http://drupal.org/node/1851044
This is a registration church event. I used to do this in Drupal 6 with Ubercart.

We are a church of about 75 people. As a result a small umber of people have to wear many hats on any given day or event. I need a way to do effective scheduling for the volunteers where we can look acroos the board and see if people are over scheduled into different areas of responsiblity or to be able to look at a particular event and ensure that we are adequately covered. Has anyone run into this and have any ideas they could share?

Has anyone found a solution to flash videos that work well on your site but don't work on an iPod etc since Apple does not support the format? Is there a way to serve up a flah format for IE & Firefox but a different format for iPods? Introducing a simple video on our church site introduced complaints I did not see coming. Would appreciaate any insight anyone has ahd with this.
Read moreToo many systems
Many churches are using multiple systems. For example our church uses the Fellowship One Church Mgt. system, Constant Contact, Drupal and we have tried the Table Project http://tableproject.org/. My concern is that we are getting fragmented, with applications on different systems and multiple databases. All these system result in a confusing mess.

Does anyone have an example of a page designed for a support group within the church community?
I have been asked to create a page to be used by members of the caregivers support group. There will probably be a second request in a few days from the long-term illness support group. Before I start building, I would like to see examples of existing work.
Thanks.

We are looking at upgrading our basic html website (http://www.johnstownascension.org/) to allow for easier content creation/editing along with new features (like event calendar). We could start with D6 or D7 and spend a lot (?) of time using off the shelf modules to get the features we want but I don't want to reinvent the wheel for basic functionality. At first glance the feature list for OpenChurch looks interesting and similar to what we would like to do.

We've just launched our new website using Drupal 7 and CiviCRM at http://www.woodlandschurch.net/. We'll shortly be rolling out a similar design to our other congregations: http://www.the-community-church.net/ and http://www.highgrove.org.uk/ (These are currently running our older Joomla site)
We're using Views, Media, Domain, Context, Organic Groups and CiviCRM to power the site.
