Is there a way to sort (views) nodes based on one taxonomy term.
Ex.
Node: Vendor
Taxonomy Term for Vendor: Vendor Donation Level
Taxonomy Term for Vendor: Vendor Industry
We show a table of vendors and their vendor industry sorted by vendor name alphabetically. We would like to group the vendors based on Vendor Donation Level. We can't sort on a specific Taxonomy Term. It only allows us to sort on ALL terms.
What would be the approach? Is there a module that allows us to add each Term to views?

You can sort by vocabulary
Which would seem to be what you want.
"Vendor Donation Level" should be a vocabulary, right? Surely it isn't a single term?

I've got the same question
In the default sorting option of a node view there are two sort criteria that concerns taxonomy: Term and Weight (maybe this last one is from the module Weight).
The question is:
if I have 3 vocabularies, Numbers, Months, Years and I want to sort the nodes by Numbers how can I make it? For example all the node associated with the last number for first and so on...
No one knows?
Cheers!
Views's maintainer is not
Views's maintainer is not excited about this per his reaction to Sort on Taxonomy: Terms for [your vocabulary].
