DrupalCon London Accommodation

Just spent the past few days sniffing around for rooms: all of the recommended DC hotels ( http://london2011.drupal.org/london/accomodation) are full, although the Landsdowne had a few rooms @ £300+ per night (FFS!).
Toyed with @bluedroplet's suggestion of staying close to either Victoria or London Bridge stations, but couldn't come up with anything reasonable in the real London... so Croydon it is.

So I'm doing the sleeper up/down, then staying in a Premier Inn: there are 2 in Croydon - West and South - both about 20-30 mins walk from the venue. Kind of a sad choice, but at least there's a [last resort] pub attached, and they come in at less than £90pn (which is better than a DC coupon code came in at). The Travelodge is cheaper, but it's right in the centre of town and looks like it's in an old office block... so not for me.

Anyone else planning to stay in a PI? Looking forward to meeting Lenny Henry.
