As you may know, Drupaldelphia 2011 is being held at Temple University on July 29th. At the last meetup we discussed having a "Drupal in Higher Ed track" (possibly with more than 1 presentation per time slot), and I'm wondering if there's interest in making it happen, and whether it would be useful to the edu folks at the camp.
We already have a good amount of proposed sessions and some may be applicable to a higher ed track, but if there's interest, then I'd suggest having sessions that cover the following:
* Drupal for university administration sites
* Securing your university Drupal implantation(s)
* Higher Ed Drupal distributions
* Drupal for university departments and/or professors
* Drupal for libraries
I don't think that list is exhaustive at all, but I figured it was enough to get the conversation started. What would you like to see from a Higher Ed track at Drupaldelphia?

Interested
I am testing several modules in my first Drupal install to discover the best architectural approach for managing our university site. Eventually I want to explore how Drupal and Moodle might tie together for an extended solution while open source is starting to be looked at more favorably where I am. I am currently interested in how to best manage permissions so that users can only edit their section or department within a a site as well as limiting which portion of the menu system they can add to. I am looking at Workbench and MonsterMenus for a good portion of this. Of course, every session will likely include something of interest to higher ed since we're all doing the same thing; managing information.
Workbench
I'm in a very similar situation as you've described and have been looking at Workbench quite a bit too. Thus far I've been pretty impressed and think that it will work well for our school. We're still working to set it up with Rules to properly notify other users when new drafts are created (it seems to send out multiple emails at the moment for us).
I'd definitely be interested in learning more as well.
Sounds like a good idea!
