What is Drupal Mentoring?
Drupal mentoring is where Drupal users, new and old alike, get together and pair up for one on one help with any Drupal related issue, from setting up your first site to writing your first contributed module.
Complete newbies are most welcome!

This month, the Drupal Mentoring event will be held at Hive Studio, which is a relaxed co-working space in Fitzroy. In addition to Drupal Mentoring, there is a Garden Project event that is building web assets for the not-for-profit organization Friends of the Earth. The Garden Project event begins at 9:30am if you would like to arrive before the mentoring event and check out (or contribute) to the cool work that's been happening. Food will be available as well!

For those coming via Public Transport, you can take Tram 96 East Brunswick, or the 112 West Preston, and you get off a bit past Johnston St Fitzroy. Kerr St runs between the two tram lines. Map Link.

I agree that either the events should occur on different dates, or they could be combined. I wanted to go to the last Drupal Gardens event but couldn't - would be nice to make it this time.
