OK, I'm a month and a few days early with the Happy New Year.
Here's the scoop.
Monday Dec 1st will be the only meeting in December. It's too crazy of a month to try and squeeze a second one in.
For January let's start off with a meeting on Monday the 5th. Responses to the polls I will be posting will determine where we go from there.
As mentioned, I will posting some polls to see what the group members think about meeting schedules and content.
I know I spend a lot of time on here trying to gauge the group and feel it out and push it along...
Here's why:::
--- The big reason behind it all is that I have a passion to see a thriving group in central Indiana. I guarantee you that there are people using Drupal in this area who don't know we're here.
--- Many years ago [or more recently] most of us made static sites with DreamWeaver or [GASP] MS-Frontpage. People in that position are snooping the net checking out wordpress, phpnuke, joomla, and even Drupal. When I was looking into Joomla, years ago, I could NOT find any groups meeting in America; even Canada seemed well connected! I want locals to know that if you're going to start climbing the Drupal learning curve, there is a community of Drupal users, themers, and developers right here in central Indiana.
--- Above all... Why I'm doing this... We have had over 20 people attend at least one meeting. I want the monthly meetings to be a constantly available resource that they can tap into. The hope for drupalindy.com fell flat but we still have this site and it serves an excellent purpose for what can be an excellent group.

Another December Meetup?

dudenhofer's picture

I'd like to know if anyone else would be interested in another meeting maybe on December 15? If Doug will not be available for the Tacoma meeting place, maybe we can meet at the library.

I was thinking I could put together a little presentation on Theming and if it goes well, maybe see where we can go from there. There seems to be some interest in the topic from the group, so we might as well dig in.

So just throwing it out there! Post here, or let me know if you would be interested.

FYI, We had 3 new attendees this week, so the interest in the Drupal Indy group seems to continue to grow.

Lets go!
