For today's BDUG (Berkeley Drupal User Group) meetup we had an open discussion about project management methodologies and tools, and layed out a basic plan for what a full featured project management system might look like in Drupal. I know many Drupal development shops each have their own tools for this, many developed internally on Drupal for specific needs.
This document is an initial rough outline, so feel free to suggest changes or other ideas for it.
Here is the wiki page:

And the original google doc:

It would be great to hear from everyone as to what specific features you have implemented in your own project management system and what modules and setup you used, etc.
Dan Kurtz from Trellon also showed off an extremely cool project management/time tracking system with pretty graphs and other nice goodies that hopefully can be released to the community at some point. :-)

Doh!
I'm bummed I missed this! At Studio Phototrope we're on the edge of a public release of our in-house multi-site tracking system.
Each contract when awarded is then managed through our pm interface.
It creates the initall multi-site install, and populates it with our "vanilla" feature set. The project then lives in an ajax based tracking table, to show who's working on it, and time put in on a given day. At the end of the project it then builds an invoice based on shop rate.
We hope to add more customization to the module feature set in the public release, as well as custom installs like Chapter3's conferencing, or DrupalEd which we use quite a bit.
Wow
Wow! That sounds great. I would love to see what you're talking about.

Is the goal to build a Drupal based solution?
Looks like it was a pretty productive session! Is the goal to build a Drupal based solution? Dig deeper into solutions already out there and/or are in development? Compare and contrast various projects, methodologies, and terminology? Explore variations on a business process, workflow, and lifecycle? All of the above?
Project managment is definitely a great umbrella topic for all sorts of sessions, demos, and projects. The Drupal Dojo already has a platform for virtual lessons, sessions, and demos. There's also an effort to build this type of functionality into the next Dojo or any other Drupal site as a project based learning experience. It looks like you've already outlined enough source material for an entire Project management curriculum!
Who else would be interested in participating and/or learning?
