Not sure if anyone else has been trying to do this. But, I have been trying to display RSS feeds with the actual videos they contain. I thought I was going to have to create a module to do this, but you do not.
Modules you need:
feed api
feed api mapping
emfield (embedded media)
CCK

This video then shows you how exactly to set it up.
You will need to create a video field first...which this video shows you how to do that:

My website:
One warning all the videos start playing when the page is loaded, I am working on fixing this.
Hope this helps!!

Dude, you sunk my battleship!
My poor little Ubuntu with 64-bit Flash beta installed had no choice but to surrender and crash mightily... but not before the chorus of voices and videos started. Kindof cool in a Happening sortof way.
Thanks for the Video RSS tip and pointers, by the way. That will come in handy.
auto play...
I'm not sure if you figured out the auto playback, but i had a similar issue with embed field and youtube videos. The issue queue pointed me in the right direction to turn off automatic playback. just FYI.
Gah
Sorry about crashing your machine Ray. Autoplay is disabled in all the settings I can find. But, I will keep looking.

Another Website using this setup
This shouldn't utterly cripple your Flash player, but here is a better/cleaner example of the video RSS:

Actually a handy resource for drupal help as it aggregates drupal video feeds, which you can then click on to watch.

Fixed
www.osjournal.net is now fixed. To make sure all feeds don't autoplay you need to verify you have installed the dev version of emfield.
