Are there any member associations using Drupal Commons?
We are looking at it, but would like to see a site that has implemented it.
We are a bar association, so another bar would be ideal, but would love to see any examples of professional or other member organizations.

Netherlands: Project Management association
In Holland, we implemented Commons for IPMA-NL an association of project managers. We used it for the Wiki and the groups functionality. Not for membership details.

Commons for association

Smells Like Drupal
Unfortunately pmwiki.nl and transitionashville.org both resemble the out-of-the-box dullness of what the Drupal community considers elegant theming. Developers have almost ZERO design sense, and front-end developer/designers have come to the reality that customizing Commons is just a frustrating nightmare.
Symantic is probably the only example of a site that has really implemented a custom solution to DC. Any other example of a Commons implementation [if you can find them] really lacks the fluid social experiences most of us are accustom to from sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.
