Arthur and I will co-present a recap of last week's exciting Media Code Sprint, held in various offices in NYC! We'll be doing this with the Drupal Dojo, using DimDim.

Media Code Sprint Recap
Tuesday, January 13, 2008 at 3:30 PM (EST)

Why You Want to Be There

  • Because you want to learn about the future of multimedia in Drupal.
  • Because you want to help transform multimedia handling for Drupal.
  • Because everything you thought you knew about Drupal and multimedia is about to be obsolete (and why that's a good thing)...

I'll post a synopsis and schedule in the morning, so stay tuned!

I teach you how to build Drupal Themes http://tinyurl.com/theme-drupal and provide add-on software at http://xtnd.us

Try this at the time of the session

Also, let's log Dimdim issues and feature requests here - http://groups.drupal.org/node/16320

Should be fun - thanks to Aaron and Arthur for taking the time!

Lots of meaty media for 2009

Much thanks to Aaron and Arthur for heading this up, and to all who showed up! As expected, this was part media sprint and part figuring out Dimdim. All in all, a really nice start to the Dojo 2009 season.

Just in case you missed it (and in case Dimdim didn't record), we'll fill out this wiki with important points, action items, and ways to get involved (and be rewarded).

We'll also make sure to have any Dimdim issues resolved before next weeks session!

Thanks

Video and chat transcript

It took well over an hour, but the session did get captured as advertised! While a little rough in the beginning and end (last couple minutes are mainly dead air), most of the presentation was captured quite nicely.

Now if only we had the stream wrapper ready to convert the flv to something more editable!

How do we get involved?

The last question of how do we get involved got cut off in the presentation. I'd like to definitely help out where I can on this project.

Yes, I want to know about

Yes, I want to know about future multimedia in Drupal. I also don’t know how to transform multimedia handling for Drupal. Yes, I know. Drupal is updating continuously. I would like to know all about these. So I am eagerly waiting for the Media Sprint Recap.
