Drupal 7 node titles - symbols convert to html entities in Zen sub-theme

Hi there. I have a problem with D7. My node titles are converting some symbols to html entities. IE: '&' is converted to '&' etc. This happens on all content types and regardless of whether I'm using automatic node titles. Here's a few examples:

restricted access pages via login

Hi! I am a complete newby to to this. I've installed Drupal, have set up a landing page exposed to the internet, created a user ... the basics.
What I am aiming for is a home page visible on the internet, but all other pages are hidden, available only to those users who have logged in through the Drupal login screen.
Is there a way of doing this within the core Drupal that does not require programming? I was assuming that I could assign roles to users and restrict page visibility to those logged in users who have the appropriate assigned role.

Settings Dashboard

Hello all,
This group caught my attention. I thought I'd join in the conversation. :) I'm working on a "distribution" for personal use, because I have very similar clients. I recycle a lot of rules, content types, and permission settings. But there are settings that differ among clients.

Using Filters or Search in View with Webform

I have put together some Webforms but ran into some problem after colleting a lot of data. I am looking at configuring some simple search or filtering for the different data fields that is in the Webforms. My Question:

What is the Best Practice for searching or filtering data in Webforms?

The other problem I ran into was limiting what data the admins EDIT from Webforms. I have it so they can view the entire record in Webform but I would like to go to selected fields when they want to EDIT a record in Webform. I using Views, and I think it is hidinplainsight.

Thanks for the help

Theming Strategies In Context

Overriding a template should only be done when you need major, site-wide structural changes to a page's, node's, or block's template file such as adding or removing regions because the changes will apply to ALL use-cases of those files. Smaller, less structural - but still site wide - changes can be applied through theme functions and lastly, fine-tuned and case specific changes can be applied through theme hook suggestions. But that's just the tip of the iceberg for all the theming strategies available to you.

Case Study: My First View Configuration

In my first view that I was able to successfully configure with the help of Scott (aka spovlot) at the Drupal support forums I learned that there is usually more than one way to configure a view and it may be helpful when starting out to consider the different ways you can approach a project so you can experiment with different combinations of the possible solutions and avoid getting stuck right out of the gate.

Horizontal instead of vertical formatting..

Hi,

I am trying to create a simple photo gallery that will be exported as a feature and loaded onto a production site.. I have created a content type that has a multi image field for the photos.. When viewing the page the image thumbnails show as a long vertical list which is obviously not ideal..

Is there a quick simple way to get the thumbnails to line up horizontally instead of vertically, preferably without using a view?

Thanks..

When is it NOT a good idea to use taxonomy?

Hi,

I seem to be chasing my tail a little here trying to decide how to classify the content on something I am working on..

Its basically an issue register for managing a project.. I have created the content type with all the fields but now have to classify the issue based on its severity and likelihood each with 4 options from low to very high.. This gives a total of 16 options.. Eg "Low-Low","Low-Medium","Low-High" etc.. Views will then be used to query and sort the content..

Now this can be done in one of two ways..

  1. A taxonomy with the 16 options as terms..
