We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

Session submissions are open for DrupalCon Denver and we’re excited to have an entire track devoted to the Nonprofit, Government & Education sectors. We have some great featured speakers confirmed. We’re also seeing a growing number of sessions being proposed -- but we need a lot more!

Some topics we’re looking for coverage on (others are welcome):

  • Fundraising + List Building - How can Drupal be used to attract interest and donations for your organization? What tools and techniques are most successful?
  • Membership Management + CRM - How can Drupal be used as a CRM or be integrated with your CRM to best manage and connect with your organization's members and contacts.
  • Open Data + Visualization/Mapping - How can Drupal help your organization to distribute data sets and how can you harness the powers of maps and other visualization tools to present that information?
  • Drupal in Action (Case Studies) - Which organizations are using Drupal? What kind of successes and challenges are their facing? How can we learn from this experience to improve our own organization's use of Drupal.
  • Engagement + Collaboration - How can Drupal be used as an organizing and collaboration tool both internally and externally?

If you have experience with any of the above or if you’re working on a nonprofit, government or education project now that would make a good case study in March please consider submitting a session proposal before the October 26th session deadline. If you know others in your community who would make good presenters in this track please share this post with them.

Finally -- just a quick reminder that if you’re a student or working for a nonprofit organization there are a limited number of significantly discounted tickets available for those who register for the conference early.

Nice to see these sectors highlighted at DrupalCon. Might have to see if I can come up with a session proposal.

Just a reminder, session
