Node Profile and Privacy?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi

I want some social features on my Site. I am using D5 and Node Profile and Pageroute. User should now create relationships. I have looked at all the modules Buddylist, Buddylist 2 and User Relationship. What I have not found is a possibility to hide node profile fields from users that are not buddies.

Is there anywhere (a module or workaround) support for privacy?

A little help would be great.

thx

use cck_field_privacy if you're using the content profile module instead of the core profile module, this module should work well with buddylist or cck ofcourse.

bending technology to fit businesses.

other module suggestions

here are a few other modules to check out:
--cck field permissions
--profile privacy

or if you want to use user roles as taxonomies (not sure if possible, or how), check out taxonomy access control

let us know what you use and why you picked it!
good luck.

im stuck in the same

im stuck in the same situation using APK and User Relationships, I woud like a simple privacy page in the my account area that lists all the various profile sections that you add via panels, and from a drop down select the privacy options or user relationships..

anyone figure this out? Im using the latest drupal 6.16 so private nodes seems to be not a solution, and it really isnt a cck issue either.. i think its bridges a simple page that users can understand that takes the APK and Panels system..

In panels, you can go to each part of your profile, click on the gear, ad a visibility rule, and select user relationships, how ever this would be a huge pain if users had to try to figure out how to do this ..
