Hello!

I would like to create a webpage for my brass band. In this webpage I would like to store information about the members of the brass band, e.g. Email, telephone no., birthday, instrument etc.
The users of the site should have the possibility to maintain their own data. But I have now the problem that not all members of the brass band have internet access and/or email addresses. Therefore I can't create for each member of the brass band a drupal user. As I said, for those who have access to the internet, it should be possible to maintain the data by their own, for the others I (as admin) am willing to maintain the data.
In the site I would like to create dynamic lists like a telephone list, birthday list etc. over ALL members of the brass band (e.g. with views).

How can I solve my requirement within drupal? As far I understood, it is madatory to have an email address for drupal website users ...

How can I force a User to fill out the content profile?

Is there a hint I have not found, a module or snippet?

I want some social features on my Site. I am using D5 and Node Profile and Pageroute. User should now create relationships. I have looked at all the modules Buddylist, Buddylist 2 and User Relationship. What I have not found is a possibility to hide node profile fields from users that are not buddies.

Is there anywhere (a module or workaround) support for privacy?

A little help would be great.

I'd like to have a fairly complicated profile. I'd like to combine the advanced profile kit's panels with nodeprofile, and have this linked to the user account. Basically, I want 4 things:
1. When users go to www.example.com/profiles/member-name, it brings up member-name's public profile, which of course is in a panel page.

I'm looking to switch my user profiles to nodes because it gives me more flexibility with gmap.

Unless my user profiles are nodes, I can't use views to select them (or subsets of them) to display on a google map.

Has anyone had any experience of creating user location maps with nodeprofile/userprofile and gmap?

I've hesitated until now to change profiles to nodes. I'm not so worried about performance (low traffic site) but I don't want clashes with all my other installed modules!

I have a nodeprofile field type that can be for example "group 1", "group 2", or "group 3".
Every time a new user registers, I want different emails to be sent to different users based on this type field.
I add a new rule configuration and I choose the "User has registered" event.
The problem is that when I try to add a condition, the only relative thing I can choose from there is
"User has nodeprofile". How can I access my type nodeprofile field???
I have tried the "Textual comparison" too but I had no luck.
What should I do?

I am building a site where I have custom user profiles built using nodeprofile, usernode, nodefamily, et al. I am using Image Attach for the user images.

So, here's the problem: I want to create a view of nodes along with the attached image for the node author.

I can create a view that consists of the Node: Author and Image Attach: Display Image. I can create the view of nodes. What I can't do is get them to play nicely together. It seemed to me that Views Fusion would work for fusing these two views together, but I get errors:

I've just subscribed to this group and am also interesting in user profiles destiny since I dropped core profile.module off and switched to nodeprofile.module.

I created this forum topic mostly to try to attract profile.module authors and Drupal authors and get some information from them. I also hope you guys will help to understand situation too.

I applaud the brilliant idea of turning user profiles as nodes! I think it is just what I need, but I am having difficulties proving it.

I desperately want to associate users with taxonomy terms. I also want overviews based on this association, like:
What are the taxonomy terms for a particular user?
What users belong to a certain taxonomy term?
List all users with an array of taxonomy terms
See the taxonomy tree (like in taxonomy_dhtml) with an array of associated users

I spent an afternoon reinstalling/reconfiguring profiles based on both tutorials on Drupal.org and Michelle's site, and the closest I got to exactly what I need was following these steps exactly: http://drupal.org/node/130489
