How are things going? Is anybody actively developing a wiki module of some kind?
How can I help?
I would love to have a real wiki module which works like the rest of Drupal.
If no module developers are working actively towards a goal - should I compile a set of requirements?
What is missing? (Funding?)

We have lots of loose requirements but nothing in the way of code or funding. Liquid wiki is about as close to a wiki we have at this time. I have a client that might be interested in funding depending on a delivery schedule.

Hi,
From what I've read on the forums, the developer has pretty much abandoned the project. There haven't been any updates since last May but patches are available in the issues. http://drupal.org/project/liquid
I'm not a wiki guy so I don't know what else needs to be done for it to work. It w/b extremely helpful if there were docs for liquid.
I'll post on the liquid project issues for any docs/notes so we might be able to get a starting point.

Going to be taken over...
I know a local developer who is going to request taking over Liquid. We've got it running at http://2007.northernvoice.ca/wiki. There are tons of things that CAN be done with it...but it does work now.

MediaWiki templates at the top of my wishlist
I agree. Using same syntax as Wikipedia is self-evident IMO.
The main thing I miss in Liquid though is the ability to use templates in the way you do in MediaWiki, which can be VERY powerful. See Rolf's description of that feature: http://drupal.org/node/52816#comment-99961
