User group meeting

Join us on Monday evening, November 21st at 6:30pm for the second installment of the Brevard Drupal Meetup Series.

The meetup will take place at The Shamrock Room in Cocoa Village. For those of you familiar with Cocoa Village, The Shamrock Room is owned by, and directly above, Ryan's Pizza. There will be no charge for us to use the room, but I did promise that we'll buy food and drinks and tip well.

I will be presenting Beginning Theming Using Omega.

Omega is a very powerful base theme that incorporates Responsive Design elements.

We will explore:

  • What is Omega?
  • What is responsive design?
  • Installing Omega
  • Creating a custom base theme to utilize the Omega framework
  • Customizing your new theme using CSS

If I can get a reliable Wifi source, I will also share the live presentation as a Google Plus Hangout. It is limited by Google though to ten participants.

I'm glad to see you can make it.

You really won't need wifi to follow along though. You can download Omega beforehand and install it. I will also be using drush and Omega Tools, but you don't have to have these to create a sub-theme.
