December's Drupal Drinks will be at the Meadow Bar, 42-44 Buccleuch Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9LP, at 18:30 on Thursday 1 December.

Please sign up if you intend on coming, so I can adjust our booking numbers accordingly.

I'd be more than happy to talk about setting up Drupal Commerce, Commerce migration, and as ever, the joys of git branching and making Views to crazy things with SQL. Over to you for further suggestions!

If anyone has any tips on the finer points of Services API, I would appreciate a mind dump. Particularly if 6.3 is actually production ready. I need to expose authenticated ubercart services to external devices and am scratching my head a bit and wondering if I need to drop back to 6.2 to gain the extra maturity of addons.

Will swap that knowledge for stuff if learned recently about Video integration and other media handling stuff.

I've just had confirmation that Cathcart Associates will be sponsoring this month's Edinburgh Drupal Drinks, as they did with a recent Glasgow DD. We'll have a couple of representatives coming along to answer any questions about the Drupal employment market, give CV advice, and buy the beers of course!

  • beer: Good, Free so especially tasty. My thanks go out to Cathcart Associates.
  • food: Didn't sample, but it looked good.
  • noise level: Didn't notice it overly noisy and certainly didn't interupt the conversations.
  • wifi: good
  • space: 2 tables, nobody standing from what I could tell, got busier later on.

I wanted to show you the brilliant book I got about Drupal. It's titled "The Devinitive Guid to Drupal 7"

In my (very humble) opinion it's not only the best Drupal book but also the best book about web development.
It's quite thick - but very interesting reading. I'll show you next time we'll meet. Hopefully in January.
