Criteria: on yelp, restaurants within 3-4 blocks of the convention center with good ratings, $$ or $ (out of $$$$) cost that are marked 'good for groups.'
Here are the yelp links for each one:

Addendum: I nixed Five Guys. Mind you, I ADORE Five Guys. Those burgers are a glory to behold, but by nature a restaurant that only serves burgers and hot dogs is vegetarian-unfriendly, and I didn't want to exclude anyone.
packing lunch
didn't realize this was going to be a restaurant thing - i've got a bunch of allergies so i'll be bringing a lunch...hopefully that won't be too difficult to work around...

I'm sure with a large group of paying people, and that you mention you have allergies, the restaurant will be entirely understanding of you bringing your own food.

I've got a friend who is celiac and allergic to nightshades as well - she says there's a surprising number of restaraunts in the area that are also willing and able to cater to allergies (she's down in Quantico, so not too far distancewise). I suspect that we can either find something that suits you, or the restaraunts will cope with you having your own food.
(as for the poll, I don't care except that I have real problems with most indian food due to an utter inability to cope with capcaisin. I wish I could, but it just makes for sadness. And I'll likely have an almost two year old with me)

thanks :-) i'm quite used to navigating restaurant food under "normal" conditions, but it's often not worth the risk when i'm traveling! i'm sure it'll work out.
My vote is to stay and eat at Drupalcon
Since lunch is provided (and free!) and we only have an hour for lunch, I think it would be nice to stay at the convention center but still eat together as a group. Perhaps we can secure one of the session rooms?
great idea
I think Courtney has a great idea! Even if we couldn't get a room, I'm sure we could arrange to reserve a table or two or three. Plus if we're there, it's more likely that other women will find us, even if they haven't already connected online ahead of time.

Organizers, please announce the final location for this meetup.
Plus: Should we meet at the location, or should we meet somewhere in the convention center and travel there together?

Robin, grab the big one. I have no idea how many people are going to show up. I'd have written it on the BoF board but there's no place to write lunch meetings. :(
