I am working with an install of NS for D6 and so far things have been doing pretty well. I have a "sandbox" that I installed essentially tearing apart how everything works and I think that I have enough information to move forward with creating a migration path from ProsePoint to Nodestream, but there are two thing that are still eluding me (see previous post about auto pagination posted in this group)
When creating an article, you select a Topic and a Topic Region, which I like, but when looking at Topic Regions, I can see that it is Taxonomy driven, but I cannot see the correlation between the topic region taxonomy and the actual panel, meaning that, yes, when you select Main (1 col), the content goes to the top, but if I wanted to use a different panel layout, how do I create either a new taxonomy for the new panel and connect the new taxonomy? I am having trouble connecting the dots on this one.
I like how this package install works and it suits the needs perfectly except for these two things. If I can get this hammered out it would really make my year.
Thanks all!

Hi cneumann!
I don't have a D6 installation of NodeStream available here right now, but I think I remember somewhat how it works :)
In Panels, the Topic variant in taxonomy/term/%term should use the Precision 3 column layout. In here, there should be one pane in each of the regions where you can add content (by selecting a Topic Region while creating an article). If you check the settings for the panes, are they somehow connected to a taxonomy term from the Topic Region vocabulary?
For the Drupal 7 version of NodeStream, I believe they are connected through UUID's. Can't really remember how it is for Drupal 6. I'll try to find out tomorrow, or ask fabsor for a more in dept explanation.
Also, the topic region rendering part uses version 1 of Dynamic Formatters. Unfortunately, version 1 is not really friendly when it comes to figuring out how it workes :)
As I said, I'll try to come back with a better answer as soon as possible.

I would appreciate any information you can give me. I am getting closer and I have some workarounds for the time being, but if I knew better how this worked, it would be great.
I also like Dynamic Formatters, but again, though it works well, the documentation is scant at best. I have tried to go to the NS site for information, and although helpful, it is not really giving me the answers that I would like.
Thanks again and if you have anything new, let me know.
