Hi,

For a long time I asked at the forum (http://gallery.menalto.com/node/70299) about the integration of Gallery2 and CCK. The last year, profix898 published the first version of the Gallery_add module and his roadmap in the following pdf (http://groups.drupal.org/files/gallery_addon.pdf).

At the moment the module version is gallery_addon_6.x-1.x-dev.

profix898, Can you comment what is the future of this module? Will exist a definitive version for version 6 of Drupal?

Personally I'use Drupal 5 + Gallery 2.3 + gallery module 5.x-2.2. (www.padelalmeria.es). I'm happy with this symbiosis. I am going to initiate the tests of migration to Druapl 6. I want to maintain this configuration but also to add the new functionalities of gallery_addon.

Many Thanks for you help and your time. Excuse my english level :-(

Hi thidalgo!

Depending on your point of view there are good or bad news for you.
There will be NO GalleryAddon module for Drupal 6.

All plans for GalleryAddon are somewhat outdated as of the announcement of Gallery3. You can read about my first vision for G3+D7 integration here. The point is that G3 is targeted to completely replace G2 in a few months. As G3 is incompatible API- and Database-wise every effort going into GalleryAddon is pointless. The new gallery module for G3 (I'm currently working on) is being designed with many aspects of tighter integration in mind, but I cant tell where we will end.

hey all Profix, are you

hey all

Profix, are you looking at Drupal 6 or Drupal 7 for the integration with G3? Can you reveal any release plan what so ever. Wild guess is fine...

I can help on testing if you want. I have a D6.10 and a G3 alpha 2 running now just waiting for integration.
