Coding time...
Hi mates,
It's the coding time.
Yesterday I've started the coding process.
I am so excited about this project!
What am I going to do?
I know that when the project started I just wanted to improve the current forum, but after researching it, I decided that the best way will be to code it from scratch.
How will it work?
It will work on the node system. Actually, you'll be able to post any node type!
Thanks to the Drupal API, most of the work is about theming!
BTW, I am coding it on Drupal 5 Beta 2.

You're apparently planning to code a new forum system. Fine. Are you planning to get this system into Drupal's core?
I've watched a few attempts at replacing Drupal's forum over the years. They're now all very, very dead. And if I'd switched to them, I'd be stuck with a forum for an old version of Drupal that's no longer being developed. If it ain't going in core (with all that the process entails), I ain't using it.

I like Drupal Community (or Drupal Communities) the best myself. Drupal is "community plumbing" after all.

I think a pretty straight-forward name is the best bet (e.g. nothing that requires explanation about what it means or stands for).

Between the two, I like Drupal Talk better, as it retains the full Drupal name (heh when I say "Dru Talk" out loud it sounds funny to me). Just my 2 cents. :P
On a separate note, I've been working on writing up a list of features/abilities I'm "accustomed to" as an administrator/owner of a large forum (not only visible features of course, but how things work behind the scenes)... I'll try to complete it asap and post it to stir up some discussion.

The name's gotta be "sayable" in my opinion... vBulletin is easy to say (or even just vB), phpBB isn't that bad since it's all letters - still not ideal, but the sounds being mixed together in Drupal Talk make it a little clunky to say. I really think anything coming after Drupal will be clunky...
I like the idea of using Dru as a prefix, but it's gotta be the syllable with the emphasis in whatever word you come up with (like it is in Drupal). Talk steals the emphasis from Dru, I think that's why it sounds funny to say.
Again... I don't have any other great ideas... board seems to fit nicely after Dru.. but I can't think of much else.

DruBB, apart from being a few peoples' last names, seems to be relatively unique. That's why I initially chose it.
dxb is the Dubai airport
db is a million other things; you're competing against companies like Oracle for namespace. :P
dxf is an Autocad file extension
Also, it's considered bad form to include the full name of "Drupal" in a product that is not actually Drupal. If your distribution ends up being unmaintained and security hole-ridden, the general public then gets a sour taste in their mouths about "Drupal," not realizing that you are actually just shipping Drupal + 50 contrib modules, and that Drupal itself is very well maintained and secure. That's why past Drupal distributions were called, for example, "CivicSpace" so there was no confusion on this point. Even DruBB might be borderline.
