What's your opinion - does Drupal 7 have reasonably stable modules for events listings, calendar, news with images, response forms, links, and FAQ pages? Or should we stick with Drupal 6 for now?
I'm working to set up a Drupal version of the Berkeley Staff Association website, http://bsa.berkeley.edu/. We'd like to maximize out-of-the-boxiness, both to get the site functioning in the next couple months and because our (mostly my) Drupal expertise is, well, still developing.
Converting to Drupal will help keep content fresh on our committee, news, and events pages, and include more pictures. And give the web committee time to focus on design and new features, such as blogs and forums to connect UCB staff and air issues.

Definitely go Drupal 7. Very
Definitely go Drupal 7.
Very stable core and most of the major modules are stable as well.
Drupal 7
I second the recommendation to move to Drupal 7. In addition to being very stable, it's easier to use from an administrator/site builder's perspective. I also see a trend in many actively-progressing modules focusing more on the D7 version for the better and newer features. I think we'll see more and more functionality available in Drupal 7 that you won't be able to get in 6.
