Hi all - we just launched our new Drupal website, which we have been working on for quite a while ... http://www.springglenchurch.org. This replaces an old site that was set up with a simple CMS system called Article Manager. The new site is getting great feedback so far from our church members, but I'd be very interested in getting feedback from the folk who really have the experience with this world .. ! ;)
We're not using anything particularly unusual as far as modules etc. are concerned, I think - all the usual suspects (CCK / Views / Lightbox / TinyMCE / IMCE / Notifications etc. etc.) Here are a few that perhaps not everyone is using (though I'm sure many are using at least a few of these):
-- Gallery Assist for photo galleries (with Image FUpload for upload of multiple images)
-- Linkit, for easy linking of pages by non-Drupal-savvy site contributors
-- Dynamic Display Block
-- Signup, for registration of activities
-- FileField Podcast, for posting of sermons to podcast
-- Agenda, for display of Google calendar as upcoming events list
I'd welcome any comments and feedback - thanks! :)
-- Nick

Beautiful Site
Thanks for sharing your beautiful church website nick. I'm currently in the process of making a website for my church as well. I'll definitely check out the modules that you listed above. Did you make your own theme? If not, which one did you use?
Great site, Nick!
I'm developing a Drupal site for our church in Harpswell, ME and would like to use your design as a model. Can you tell me more about the themes you used, whether you're using Drupal 7, and anything else that might be helpful. I've developed sites for other non-profits, but mostly in Drupal 6. I really like the front page of your site... Nice work!
responsive?
Hi Nick - I have developed different versions for our church site (www.commumc.org) which is currently Drupal 6. The next revision will be to version 7 and going responsive. Have you given any thought to going responsive?

Looks good
I just noticed one thing when using Chrome Version 37.0.2062.124 m the sermon podcasts link gave me an unformatted xml list. I looked just great in Firefox. It is probably my settings in chrome but I can't determine why. Just thought I would share that with you.
