18% at DrupalCon Denver? Let's get that number higher

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi DrupalChix!

I'm Lizz Trudeau and I help the Drupal Association with memberships and data analysis. I wanted to see the % of women attending DrupalCon, but not all women have updated their d.org profiles. Based on just tshirt sales. it looks like at least 18% of attendees are women. However, not everyone is going to order a women's shirt if they prefer a men's tshirt cut.

I've heard from someone at WITI (http://www.witi.com/) that a healthy technology community has 25%+ women. DrupalChix is clearly doing a really good job recruiting women into the community. How do you think I can get more female DrupalCon attendees to go into their profile and update it so I can get a better count? I want to make sure I do this the most appropriate way.

To mark your attendance on your profile, go to drupal.org, sign in and go to the Edit menu. From there, click Drupal and select the events you've attended.

To update your gender, look for the field in the Personal Information menu (within the same Edit menu).
