We do, right here in Ann Arbor on the last Monday of every month. Were you thinking about doing something else too?
I would like to see these
I would like to see these meet ups happening more frequently. I am not sure if there is significant interest for more regular meet ups. I just hate to have to wait a month if I miss a meeting.
Perhaps having one somewhere
Perhaps having one somewhere in the Detroit area, such as Rochester Hills, Pontiac, Troy, Royal Oak, Warren, and so on, could be held during the 2nd week of every month. Such an arrangement would benefit those who are unable to make the trip to AA, as well as those who would like to get together more often because they'd be able to go to both if they wish.

I went to my first Ann Arbor Drupal group meeting last Monday. Although I could not stay long, it was great. Everyone was friendly and certainly knowledgeable on Drupal (among many things).
Weekly or bi-weekly may sound like a good idea, there would need to be enough interest to keep it consistent. IMHO, a weekly meeting may cause attendance to be more distributed and overall lower for each week. My vote is for continuing the formal monthly Ann Arbor meeting but also having a niche location/time for some informal random Drupal-ing. Preferably at a pub with wireless during happy hour.
The more Drupal the better
The more Drupal the better if you ask me. I like the idea of distributing the meetings between Detroit and Ann Arbor so people can attend both or just visit the closest one to them. That way things don't get spread to thin.
Count me in for the pub meet ups as well, having something a little less formal is definitely appealing from time to time.

Is there any more discussion going on about this? I would like to see one in the Royal Oak area, Ann Arbor is a bit too far to make it to in the evening.

As one of the few Drupal
As one of the few Drupal people in Windsor, Royal Oak would be a much closer for anyone coming across the border. I'd definitely come to some of the meetings were it closer.
