Here's a central place we can use to talk about what we want to include on the Drupaldelphia site.
I thought a good place to start would be looking at the Drupal 4 Design and Drupalcamp Colorado sites to get a sense of some features that are commonly included on Drupalcamp sites.
Feel free to edit as needed.
Registration
Profile Fields
The Design4Drupal site didn't ask for any additional fields on registration. DCCO asked for:
- Company
- Website
- d.o User ID #
- First Name
- LastName
- Location
- Shirt Size
I think we also discussed also asking for Drupal experience level (either by "How long have you been using Drupal?" or "Evaluating, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced")
Once I created an account on DCCO, an additional field was available for Dietary Requirements. On D4D, I was asked to create a profile:
- Full name
- Bio
- Web site
- d.o username
- IRC username
- link to twitter stream
- name of company
- food preferences
- Contact preferences ("Yes, I love Drupal Design Camp Boston's sponsors!")
Session Proposals
On D4D, I was able to add a Session Proposal. Fields were:
- Session Title
- Abstract
- Description
- Track (Drupal Fundamentals, Drupal Showcase, Theming, User Experience, Other)
- Experience Level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
- Topics (freetags)
Schedule
On D4D, it was an embedded Google Docs spreadsheet. Seems to work nicely.
Cost
D4D was free (they asked for donations and sold t-shirts). DCCO has 2 tiers of pricing. $20 gets you in the door. $50 gets you in the door + a t-shirt.
