at the DrupalCon.
What do you think about doing something different for the minority (that is us, women) in terms of apparel (shirts, etc)?
Any thoughts of how we could stand out or even make a statement?

I did up some buttons at drupalconDC, and they were snapped up quickly, so there's probably some interest. A different t-shirt is probably a simple answer. Though hats could be fun. :)

drupalcon shirt for drupalchix?
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the group, and new to Drupal. I am fortunate to be heading to DrupalCon Paris next month and just submitted a t-shirt design that's something I would want to wear, which happens to be a more feminine take on the conference shirt. I would love to hear any feedback, and hope to meet some of you there!
Evelyn
Um, Feedback...? :-D
OK, please don't shoot me...but....before I blew up the picture - and actually, even after - it actually looks like a t-shirt with a pink bra on the outside of it. It's artistically adept - but, it still looks like a bra.
It's very pretty - but - I think it might get us attention of the sort we were trying to avoid? I can just hear the comments already...
Just my .02 worth.
OK, now fire away... :-D

Maybe if the druplicon were more "there"
I get that the shape is the Druplicon's eyes/visor/space goggles :) but maybe if the entire drop were visible somehow in the background like a faded-back lighter color of brown, it would appear less bra-ish.
Not that I can go to Paris or anything. But I might want to buy one of these!
OK, I'm even more clueless than I thought...
I didn't 'get' the goggles at all. Sigh. Need. to. step. back. from. computer.

Heehee...sadly, I think that's always going to be an issue with the Druplicon eyes.
What if the eyes had the Drupalchick eyelashes? Would that kill the bandeau bra-ness?
(I think the design is fab, BTW.)

No worries -
I just printed the design out at the actual size and pinned it to my shirt (!) and I think it's OK. The shape is way smaller than any human bra and slightly off-center, so I don't think people will see "BRA". I will try jrdixey's idea of working in the druplicon shape.
Thanks so much for the feedback and saying you'd want a shirt like this! It's very encouraging. I'll look into putting it on cafepress, (unless there is a better way? Amy?)

I'd be happy to upload the hi-res graphic to the Drupalchix store and set it up with a brown tshirt. (Though certainly, if you have your own store, go for it there!)
V. cute design. Nice work!

How about the eyelashes?

new shirt design
Hi,
I can't go to Paris, is there any way I can obtain one of your lovely t-shirts? The design is great!
Mary
Still have that Cafepress store
If people have designs they want to put up on the Drupalchix Cafepress store, I'm happy to set up the products. The only trick is that we are limited to one listing of each item type.
(And now I'm recalling that we wanted to move to another vendor...if anyone has suggestions, I could put that into motion.)

shirts are available!
Hi there,
If anyone is still interested in purchasing one of the shirts I designed for DrupalCon Paris, I've created a shop at Printfection.com:
http://www.printfection.com/missWilder/Drupal-Designs/_s_305580
I set a markup of only $1.00, so they're fairly reasonably priced.
I'm happy to have a go at other designs if you have suggestions!
