Ok, i have no idea what I did but I have things as they should be as far as I know. I have my home page showing correctly when I view it in the edit and preview mode, but when I actually go to the page the body does not show, which is a picture with text over it. Hopefully this makes some sense. Any thoughts? I've gone thru every setting/menu item etc that I can think of with no result. Help is greatly appreciated.

Front Page Setting?
Try setting the front page directly to the node you want to use at /admin/settings/site-information - with "promote to front" there's more going on, so I generally just prefer to use that admin setting instead.

that's how it has been set.
that's how it has been set. Something is awry and I can't figure out what. The home page shows fine under content, but when you click on home the body just isn't there. Possibly related, not sure, I have created a block with just a copyright statement and placed it on the left. The block shows fine (I have it justified center with a shruken down logo) however when the page is viewed it shows as a text line that is justified right. ?? Could something be squirrley with wysiwyg/fckeditor? I had all this working before the major disaster, just can't remember how.
