Join us for our next Toronto Drupal User Group meeting on Monday, August 20th. The meeting with take place at CSI Spadina, located at 215 Spadina Avenue (Suite 120), starting at 6:30pm.
Please note, the building's main entrance is locked at 6pm, so if you are arriving after 6pm, you will have to enter through the Dark Horse Cafe. The cafe closes at 7pm, meaning you will not be able to enter the building after 7pm.

UX video
If there is time on the agenda I would love to show a video I've just finished that describes a 'task-based' approach to building web sites in a future Drupal version.
This is something that I've prepared for the D8 UX design discussions and it outlines what is possible with a shift from Drupal's legacy 'push mode' to an Outside-In 'pull model'.
It's 15 minutes in length.

I would love to see this evolve...for all the advances in modules and CCK in core, and Drush, etc, the basic way we plan, design and construct Drupal sites is the same as it was in Drupal 5 and earlier. This has to improve...the concepts Drupal was built around were cutting edge 7, 8 years ago but how people think about websites and CMSs has evolved and we have to as well.
