DrupalCon Sydney update

Hi everyone,

With the unfortunate cancellation of DrupalCon Sao Paolo, the focus will be shifting firmly to DrupalCon Sydney in February 2013 (http://sydney2013.drupal.org), so here's a few things to prepare for:

• Session submissions are already open, and there's been a fantastic initial response from local and international applicants. The deadline is Friday October 26, so there's six weeks to get your submission in at http://sydney2013.drupal.org/sessions

• We've got a fantastic team of volunteers managing the session submissions, and still a wide range of roles to fill for on-site volunteers, so sign up at http://bit.ly/OMZFe6

• More than half of the available sponsorships have already been sold, and DrupalCon is one of the best ways to get regional and global exposure for your Drupal services or to financially contribute if you've benefited from Drupal being a free open source platform. • Ticket pricing has been finalised at http://sydney2013.drupal.org/register-now, and will go on sale within the next couple of weeks. We expect a lot more interest from international visitors now that Sao Paolo has been cancelled, so make sure you're on the Drupal Association mailing list at http://bit.ly/PFvbtF to be notified as soon as they go on sale.
