Did you know that The DrupalCon Asia-Pacific Regional Organizing Group has been formed which seeks to determine a location for the first DrupalCon in this region?
I know that Hawai'i does not have the largest community of Drupal developers, but I believe Honolulu is an ideal candidate due to its location to the Americas and Asia.

I have joined the thread and would love to be part of the organizing committee to bring a Drupal camp to Hawaii --- serving Asia-Pacific region.
Interested in the intersection of justice, social entrepreneurship, and technology.

Judging from the discussion in the other thread, Drupalcon Hawai'i is unlikely at this time. However, a Drupal camp would be very doable. I am no longer in the islands, so I can't offer any hands-on support. But if you'd like to brainstorm, I'd certainly be willing to work with you to get you started on a successful camp.
